Your spiritual evolution is tied to one main quality: Surrender is the key to enlightenment

Surrender is the Key to Enlightenment and is exemplified in the life cycle of a butterfly. You already know that a caterpillar becomes a butterfly. You may also know that, like a caterpillar, you are now in your intermediate stage of transforming yourself.

Actually, you already are the butterfly. It just happens to be masked by layers of you thinking “I am a caterpillar.”

The process of transitioning from where you are to where you are evolving is called Ascension or Enlightenment. They’re both really the same thing

The Egyptians

The Egyptians knew about this process of our spiritual evolution and Ascension and they depicted it with paintings that go back over 4,000 years.

One of the more famous paintings is from the “Egyptian Book of the Dead” and depicts Anubis weighing the heart of one who died.

On one side of the scale, the person’s heart. On the other side, a feather. For the person to ascend their heart must be lighter than a feather.

A light heart means a pure heart. If the person lived a life directed by the purity of their soul, they would Ascend to the heavenly realms.

The more “bad” things that a person had done, the heart would be weighed down heavier than the feather and that person would be taken to the underworld from which the person would have to reincarnate to try again.

The Egyptians had many prayers and initiations to help a person lighten their heart. Thankfully, today we have a more direct and accelerated process to attain what the Egyptians were striving for.

Surrender

Surrendering requires you to let go of whatever is causing you pain, struggle, or suffering. Surrender is letting go of every form of resistance and negativity.

The process of surrendering releases the brilliance of your soul.

I have found there are a number of formulas that are very helpful in accelerating this process. The more you surrender the lighter your heart becomes.

The Essential 7 Surrender Keys to Enlightenment

Here is my list of the top 7 things to surrender and how to do it.

It works best if you repeat these numerous times, with your eyes closed, while in a meditative state.

I surrender and release the need…

1.    For Control and Fear of Being Out of Control

2.    To Know Why

3.    To Figure Things Out

4.    For Questions

5.    To Be Right

6.    To Struggle

7.    To Judge Myself or Others

You’ll notice that these 7 statements address the main ways the ego-mind operates.

That’s right. As you let go of these, your mind and ego will relax their grip. In turn, the brilliance of your Ascended and Enlightened soul will emerge and be more prominent in your life.
